Seminar support granted
NorLARNet received seven applications for support to the organization of research related seminars by the deadline 19 January 2017. It was decided to support three of the applications.
NorLARNet has decided to support the following seminars related to ongoing Latin America research in Norway:
1) 75 000 NOK to the seminar “The role of the Inter-American court of human rights: jurisprudencial advances and new responses”, to be organized in Oslo by Natalia Torres Zuniga and Leiry Cornejo Chavez in May 2017.
2) 75 000 NOK to a seminar on Norwegian skiers in Argentina/Chile in the 1890s, to be organized in Oslo by Steinar A. Sæther in June 2017.
3) 75 000 NOK to bring four-five Venezuelan scholars to a workshop comparing Angola and Venezuela's trajectories through the oil boom, bust and current breakdown, and a seminar on the current crisis in Venezuela, to be organized in Bergen by Leiv Marsteintredet and Aslak Orre in May 2017.
